Every counselling session is confidential including one-on-one individual session for couples or spouses. The only exception that is required by law to breach confidentiality is life endangerment and self-harm. On the other hand, if I am subpoenaed by the court, I am required by law to cooperate.
ASCHP requires all clients to sign a consent form allowing me permission for providing my services to you. Along with ASCHP, it is customary to complete a consent form. However, I do not request personal information, such as banking information. All I need is your name, surname, and next of kin. Your next of kin is for emergences on-site or online.
